O UGH, Pirate Booty makers! I’d like to keep your baked no-trans-fats line of snacks around, but no way am I buying any more of it until you’re clear about what’s in the product. A non-committal statement about seeking out nonGMO corn doesn’t say you are sourcing ONLY nonGMO corn. Which means you use GMO corn, and perhaps GMO canola oil.
So, forget it. My two year old cousin and anyone else who comes to my house aren’t getting near this stuff until you change it up and make a clear statement about GMOs. Please let me know what you decide to do.
My objection to GMOs is rooted in the way Monsanto has treated both farmers and seed. I guess the jury is out on long-term health and environmental effects of various GMO practices, but with a record like that, why would I trust them? We need to fund science in the public interest to hold corporate interests accountable.
